You can set up instructions on the Expo Advanced Features window so that exposition and product codes are automatically assigned or generated according to a formula you choose (as opposed to user-assigned codes).
For example, if you create an auto-generated formula (an appropriate SQL script is entered in the Expo Name Calculation area) when you insert a new exposition or product, a system-assigned code is automatically inserted, rather than iMIS prompting you to enter a user-assigned code.
